Luxury Soy Candle

Candle Care

The first burn of your soy candle is the most important to ensure you get a lovely even burn throughout the life of your candle. Wax has a memory so on the first use of your candle, burn until the top of the wax has melted all the way out to the edge of the container. This may take around 3-4 hours, but don’t burn for more than 4 hours at a time.

We recommend you repeat this process every time you light the candle to prevent tunnelling, where you accumulate leftover wax on the sides of the container.

To extinguish your candle we suggest using a snuffer to ‘snuff’ out the flame or a wick dipper. Use the tip of the wick dipper (or the tip of a screwdriver or similar non-flammable item) to dip the wick in the wax to extinguish, then use it to straighten the wick out ready for the next burn.

If the wick gets too large it can mushroom and soot, therefore, for best results, always trim the wick to 5mm when the wax has reset. A wick trimmer, or even nail clippers, will work well.

The top of your soy candle may set a little uneven after burn – this is a characteristic of hand poured natural soy wax and will not affect the quality or scent throw of your candle.

Candle Safety

Always place lit candles on a level, heat-resistant and non-flammable surface.

Do not let candles burn in a draft or close to a heat source as this will cause the flame to smoke and burn unevenly.

Do not leave a burning candle unattended and keep well away from flammable materials.

Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Keep the candle free from foreign materials, including matches and wick trimmings.

Container may become hot during use. Do not move or tip candle whilst lit, always extinguish first and allow it to cool.

Do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time.

Always trim the wick to 5mm for a safe and even burn.

Always leave at least 10cm between burning candles.

Extinguish candle when 5mm of wax remains in the container and do not relight.

Luxury Soy Wax Melts

Wax Melt Care

Our soy wax melts are designed for use in a wax burner using a tealight or an electric wax warmer. Place several wax melt shards into the dish of your warmer – please be careful not to overfill. Light an unscented tealight inside your warmer or power-on if using an electric warmer.

You should enjoy approximately 8 hours of scent per melt. Once you feel that the fragrance is spent, allow the wax to cool and harden then simply pop it out of your warmer dish and dispose with household waste.

Put fresh wax melts into your warmer – please do not add fresh melts to old wax as this will dilute the scent throw.

Wax Melt Safety

Always place on a level, heat-resistant and non-flammable surface.

Whilst lit do not leave unattended and do not place near a heat source, flammable materials or a draught.

Do not move when lit, allow to cool before touching.

Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Do not add water or oil.

Do not ingest.

Consider the size of your burner – some oil burners are suitable for wax melts but generally oil burners can be too small and the flame from the tealight sits very close to the dish of the burner. Excessive heat from the flame will very quickly burn off the fragrance oil and may also cause the dish of the burner to crack.

Luxury Reed Diffuser

Reed Diffuser Care

Unscrew the collar, carefully remove the bottle stopper and replace the collar. Insert 8 reeds into the bottle to absorb the fragrance oil (if a more subtle scent is required insert less reeds). Turn the reeds after approximately 8 hours and, once fully saturated, they will begin to release aroma and scent your room within a few days.

To refresh the scent, turn the reeds over once a week or for increased intensity turn the reeds on a more regular basis – please be careful not to drip any of the fragrance oil onto delicate surfaces or fabrics.

Ideally your diffuser needs space for air to circulate around it – reception halls, corridors and doorways can be an effective position as air circulation and people moving around help to carry the fragrance around your home or workplace.

To help prolong the lifespan of your reed diffuser, keep away from sources of heat and do not place in direct sunlight.

Reed Diffuser Safety

Keep the product upright.

Do not place diffuser directly onto or allow the oil to come in contact with polished or painted surfaces, plastic, leather or fabric materials as accidental spillage may cause damage.

Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Do not ingest and wash hands after handling.

Flammable liquid – avoid direct sunlight, keep clear of sources of ignition and never attempt to light the reeds.

Reed Diffuser Refill

Remove screw top on refill bottle and carefully transfer the fragrance oil into your Olapip reed diffuser bottle.

Be careful not to spill and please follow care and safety advice above.
